Marco Rosetti is an Award Nominated Composer, Orchestrator and Score Editor based in between Italy and the U.S.
It’s been thanks to the one of a kind Heartbreaker riff by Led Zeppelin and the music in Return of the Jedi final duel between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker that the spark for music has been lit and still shines bright. Although at first he wanted to become just another guitar hero, soon he began to be drawn to orchestral sounds and scoring which, together with his passion for cinema, inevitably took over.
His academic achievements include a degree Summa Cum Laude on Film Scoring at Conservatory of Music “Venezze” (Rovigo – Italy), a degree at the Los Angeles Music Academy in Pasadena (L.A. – USA) and one at the Conservatory of Music “Buzzolla” (Adria – Italy), where he focused his studies on guitar and music composition.
His highly versatile musical talents have led him to work in several projects, covering different roles, including films, documentaries, commercials, tv series and classical music compositions.
He has worked as a composer and orchestrator in Los Angeles and New York, where his piece Reminiscence from Tosca was played at the world-famous Carnegie Hall theater for the Puccini Intimately review in 2008.
During his professional activity in New York he’s produced sonorizations for STUFF (Stand Up For Fashion), he’s worked with Yomi Abiola (Maybelline New York, The FemLeague) and the Italian Academy Foundation. He has written music for trailers (Doctor Who, Krampus, The turning point, Officer down, Sacrifice), films (Heart beats, At your disposal, Unavailable, You’ve got text, Snot and Splash), documentaries (My soul paws, Engine of creation, The road that enchants) for History Channel, TV commercials (Huawei, Malo Cashmere) and radioplay (BFF). On top of that, he has also been in charge of the sonorizations for CELS Grup, during the Doha Fashion Week in Qatar.
He has won several awards for best soundtrack, including the Indie Gathering Award (2015), the Horror Hotel film scoring competition (in 2015 and 2016) and, with the film You’ve got text, the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival in 2020.
During his working experience in Los Angeles, he orchestrated the musical Eve – The Musical, written and produced by Lauri Matisse. In 2021, he takes part in the DeltaSound at the Regards Croisès cine-concert at the Festival International du film d’Aubagne in France, with the soundtrack of Untravel (by Ana Nedeljkovic). In 2022, he composed and orchestrated the arias of the opera Flat Land (by A. Virarelli and V. Soravia), worked on the tv serie The Good Mothers, produced by Disney+ and, with MiraiMusic (Los Angeles), he worked at the videogame Wolves of Rome.
In addition to all the above, he’s currently teaching composition and orchestration at the “Venezze” Conservatory in Rovigo (Italy) and at the Audio Production Academy in Stockholm (Sweden).
